2020 Toyota Vios launched in the Philippines

Toyota has created an uproar by virtually releasing the updates of its all-new Vios for the 2020 model year. It has unveiled all the details of this classy sedan on the Toyota Motor Philippines Facebook page. The updated sedan features a new face and a nice blend of advanced technology and high performance.

2020 Toyota Vios has a modern and improved design language that looks similar to Corolla Altis and Camry. The automaker has replaced the big controversial grille with a new trapezoidal grille integrating with a sleek upper grille. Furthermore, the new bumper has body-colored underlining and edged by narrow air inlets. 

The revamped fog lights and three-tier headlamps go well with the sedan's overall manifestation. In the new headlights, a distinct LED strip is reinstated by L shaped daytime running lights. 

The interior of the sedan remains unchanged but the automaker has improved the top-line variants to provide a sporty feel. The sedan features keyless ignition and entry system, paddle shifter, and auto-folding side mirrors. 2020 Toyota Vios also features a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system that comes with six-speakers and USB, AUX, Weblink, and Bluetooth connectivity. However, the entry variants still house the same two-DIN unit.

The all-new Toyota Vios gets its leverage from naturally-aspirated 1.3-litre and 1.5-litre gasoline engines, in the Filipino market. The 1.3-litre unit pushes out a maximum power of 98 hp along with a peak torque of 123 Nm.  The power is transmitted to the wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the bigger engine produces 106 hp of power and 140 Nm of torque. There is either a CVT with available paddle shifters or a five-speed manual gearbox.

Coming to the pricing, the 2020 Toyota Vios price starts with  671,000 pesos in the Philippines that is equivalent to SGD 18,796. However, the manufacturer has not confirmed that when the updated Toyota Vios will arrive in the Singapore market.
