Next-gen Rolls Royce Ghost showcases an evolutionary design

Rolls Royce has finally lifted the wraps off its second-generation Ghost. The luxury sedan now comes with a more prominent appeal and is designed with a particular focus on its occupants' comfort.

Making its debut after a long trial of teasers, the new Ghost presents an idea of the evolution, the luxury automaker has been going through in terms of design and luxury. The new model comes with an improved stance besides sitting on the underpinning of the same aluminium space frame architecture used by the Phantom and Cullinan.

Coming to the design of the all-new Ghost, it reveals a more bold stance with its' post opulent' design and the new 600 metres laser headlights and the C-shaped daytime running lights. The car's bumper also receives major tweaks and is now made wider for an increased air intake across its width. However, the car also shares similar styling cues with its earlier version. The side profile and the lightly refocused squaretail-lights at the back get minor touch-ups.

Interestingly, the car has been resized with its overall dimensions. The revised length has gone up by 89 mm at 5546 mm and its width is now 1978 mm, increased by 30 mm. Said to be the most technologically advanced Rolls Royce in 116 years history, the car is a synonym for luxury and comfort. The new Ghost also picks up a new suspension setup.

Under the hood, the new Rolls Royce Ghost is powered by a 6.75-litre, twin-turbo V12 engine, giving out a maximum power output of 564 hp and 850 Nm of peak torque, maxing out at 250 km per hour speed. The V12 is efficient enough to deliver a 0-100 km per hour sprint in 4.8 seconds.

Perhaps the most highlighted part of the car and its major USP, which had previously hit the news, is its cabin insulated with over 100 kg of soundproofing materials. It is the most silent offering by the brand. Other features inside the cabin are digital gauges, electric open/close doors, and a head-up display

Lastly, the vehicle is expected to arrive later this year.
