2021 Toyota Innova facelift unveiled in Indonesia

Toyota has finally introduced the much-needed facelift for its current generation Innova that has been present in the market since 2016. The 2021 Innova facelift looks more impactful with its revised exteriors and detailed interiors.

The new MPV comes with updated stance and corrected exteriors at 4,735 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,795 mm in height. Interestingly, the vehicle also drives on an improved wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

Talking of its exteriors, the facelifted version of the Innova Crysta features an improved styling. The MPV resembles the previous generation in an overall look. However, there are minute changes that can be observed around the front grille that is now wider and covers a maximum portion of the front fascia, adding to its bold appeal.

The grille is now finished in black with a thick chrome outline. Another interesting highlight around the updated grille is that it carries five horizontal slats, which was two chrome-finished previously. The other changes around the vehicle include headlights with chrome extensions, a redesigned front bumper that comes with a complex design and dual-tone alloy wheels.

Under the hood, the Indonesian-spec Innova facelift is powered by the similar 139 hp 2.0L petrol engine and a 2.4L diesel engine options, generating 139 hp and 149 hp of maximum power, respectively. However, Toyota has dropped the 2.8L diesel engine to cut down on costs and maintain the emission norms.

On the inside, the vehicle resonates with basic inputs that can be seen around the minimalist dashboard’s basic layout. The vehicle also keeps up with its lighter colour tone inside and maintains the all-black upholstery for the Indonesian variant. The MPV also showcases a slightly redesigned instrument cluster that is complimented with a larger 9-inch infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Lastly, the 2021 Toyota Innova price starts from 337,600,000 rupiah (SGD 31,156).
