2022 Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean revealed

The automotive giant Bentley has expanded its 2022 lineup by introducing us to a new edition of the Flying Spur Hybrid. The latest addition to the vast Bentley lineup marks the arrival of a big eco-friendly special-edition sedan known as the Odyssean Edition.

The latest special edition commemorates the launch of Bentley’s Flying Spur Hybrid. This gasoline-electric model is influenced by design elements, as seen on the EXP 100 GT concept car. The car attracts a special USP by being one of the initial models that marks the automaker’s first step forward in sustainable luxury as part of Bentley's so-called "Beyond100" strategy.

Highlighting the rich, natural cabin of the car are different elements of sustainability. For example, the automaker has replaced the usual leather with tweed for many of its surfaces (though the automaker continues to use extra-durable leather). 

Further, the open-pore wood veneers now use 90% less lacquer, in comparison to the normal high-gloss veneers. The automaker has applied just three thin layers, totaling just 0.1 millimeters in thickness. The end results give the car a better, natural look and feel.

Other highlights inside the cabin space include bespoke embroidery, ombre finishes, and lofty diamond pattern stitching. Every design feature inside the car presents us with similar style inspiration from the  100 GT concept. 

To add a sleeker appearance to the car, the automaker has finished the center console in a minimalist Piano Linen veneer. Overall, adding the natural elements inside the car gives it a soft, warm hide called Autumn. 

Besides the modern Linen hide, customers are also provided with the options to choose from five interior specifications: Cricketball, Beluga, Porpoise, Brunel, or Burnt Oak leather. 

Lastly, talking of the powertrain specs of the car, the Flying Spur Hybrid consists of a 2.9L twin-turbocharged V-6 and single electric motor, churning out a 536 hp of power besides a 750 Nm of peak torque.
