2022 Mitsubishi Xpander will soon launch in Thailand

Back in November, Mitsubishi officially pulled the wraps off the 2022 Xpander. Besides obtaining a prominent facelift, the automaker also revised its interior, fetched a better ground clearance, precisely installed dampers, and retuned struts for better ride comfort.

Setting aside all of these, what's more, imperative to note is that the four-speed automatic has now been replaced by a CVT offering improved fuel-efficient drive.

Looking at the market inclination, netizens might assume that the next stop of Mitsubishi's popular MPV would be the Philippines, but it is anticipated that it's Thailand who's next on the line for Xpander's upsell.

According to Headlightmag, Mitsubishi will launch the facelifted Xpander in Thailand in March this year.

Although the exact information about the specification is unknown, the company claims the car would be retaining all that it has put on sale for the Indonesian market. This implies the car will be proffering a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated inline-four paired to a new CVT with better ground clearance and suspension.

The car likewise also features an all-new dashboard equipped with new cabin amenities. It even features a digital automatic climate control panel, a new three-spoke steering wheel, and an electronic parking brake (EPB) for enhanced safety.

The car even undergoes dashboard trim, features soft-padded leather for the armrests, and door trim with beige-colored seats for its higher-grade variants.

Additional new parts that are predicted to be available in the Thailand spec list of Xpander comprise all comfort-oriented features like Type C USB charging sockets for the rear passengers, a front center armrest with bottle holders, cupholders on the second-row armrest, and a large-capacity tray on the center console for holding phones.

Keeping the features offered for the Indonesian version in mind, all we can do is anticipate that the company launches a similar fully feature-loaded Xpander for Thailand as well.
