2023 Acura Integra teased; will be a five-door fastback
The Japanese automobile manufacturer Acura has teased its much-awaited Integra. It has released a teaser image from which one can confirm that the model will be a five-door fastback.
A couple of months ago, the carmaker confirmed the return of its famous nameplate, Integra. At that time, the fans expected to get a coupe body. But, the teaser image revealed that it will be a five-door fastback. The first-generation model can be had as a five-door hatchback form alongside sedan and traditional coupe body styles.
The Honda-owned Acura stated that “Just like the original Integra, which helped launch the Acura brand in 1986, the fifth-generation Integra will be a premium sport compact with striking five-door design”
From the teaser image, it can be identified that the Acura Integra will get the signature V-shaped LED tail-lights. Adding to this, the tailgate and rear haunches feature smooth surfacing. There is a black trim window along with a small lip spoiler too.
The space of the new Acura Integra is occupied by the ILX. But as per the carmaker’s spokesperson, the new car will not directly replace the ILX, instead, it will be the manufacturer’s new “entry gateway vehicle."
The carmaker is yet to announce more details related to the new Integra. However, there is speculation that the car will have some similar features to the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback. Expectations are there to get a manual transmission with a turbocharged engine. However, we need to wait before confirming any further details on the upcoming car.
