Aston Martin introduces the new DBX Straight-Six for China

China is set to receive another model from the Aston Martin DBX range - the DBX Straight-Six. This upcoming hybrid will feature an inline-six 3.0L engine and will come with a plethora of safety and driver-assist features! So let’s see what this upcoming vehicle has to offer! 

As mentioned previously, the new model will feature a 3.0L turbo powertrain with a power output of 435 hp and maximum torque of 520 Nm, complete with an automatic nine-speed transmission that promises a memorable drive. It is also rumored to go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds and will come with a 259 kmph top speed. 

Coming to the exterior design of the Straight-Six, barring a few design tweaks here and there, the new model looks exactly similar to its stylish predecessor. The only striking difference you will find is on the front quarter panel - its “Straight-Six” badging. 

The interior too is heavily inspired by its predecessor complete with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a floating console bridge, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument display. The Straight-Six’s 1Mobile integration will feature Bluetooth Hardware connectivity and Apple CarPlay. 

Looking at the appealing stats, we are quite impressed with the range of ADAS present in the upcoming model that will include features like traffic sign recognition, reversing warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic parking assist, AEB, and much more. 

The DBX Straight-Six’s safety stats look promising too with frontal airbags for front passenger and driver and side airbags for rear passengers, ISOFIX on the rear end, with seat belt use reminders and detection. 

In China, the Aston Martin DBX Straight-Six is priced at 1.898 million yuan (SGD 402968). And apart from this China-only variant, the German automakers might launch another high-performing SUV from the DBX range for the global market very soon. 

Until now, there is no news of the DBX Straight-Six’s possible launch in the Singapore market. However, the Aston Martin DBX itself is available at a price of SGD 265,999.
