Bentley Bentayga Hybrid upgraded, gets few design & interior changes
Back when the Bentley Bentayga V8 was introduced, we all knew that a hybrid facelift is on the cards. Five months down the line, the British automaker has finally introduced the Bentayga Hybrid facelift. The upgraded Bentayga runs on the same powertrain, though the aesthetics and dimensions have been revised a little.
In terms of the design, it is quite similar to its previous iteration. There are changes in the front section, which has been raised by 30 mm just to give it a more aesthetic look. The rear section has also been remodelled with some expensive crystal cuts, taillights, and headlights.
The interior design has been made more comfortable and the coolant temperature gauge has been replaced with battery status. Talking about the powertrain, it still makes use of the 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged, V6 petrol engine, which is added to an electric motor. As a whole, the output remains unchanged and still delivers the 3- tonne behemoth from still position to 100 km/h in only 5.5 seconds.
The safety features have no mention till now, but one can expect it to feature everything that had been offered in the Bentayga before. Some new features include Traffic assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Electronic Vision at night, Park Assistance and, a head-up display. Other luxuries include an anti-glare coating with an anti-reflection 10.9-inch touchscreen display.
The Bentley Bentayga Hybrid is the first among the other two hybrid models that had been released this year. In a survey, it has been found out that around 90% of Bentayga buyers use their cars daily. Not only are the users satisfied with the model but are also impressed with some changes done in the new model.
The new door trims and the steering wheel with a 30 mm increase in rear legroom offer comfort while driving. The head unit offers support to wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with smartphone monitoring. Users are allowed to customize the wheel designs, colors, and trims as per their preference.
Interestingly, this Bentayga Hybrid is one of the two plug-in models that the British automaker is set to release in 2021.
