Citroen C5 Aircross undergoes an upgrade for 2022

The French carmaker Citroen has finally taken off the veil from its premium flagship SUV, the C5 Aircross. The car now comes with a revised exterior in international markets for 2022.

The mid-cycle updated version undergoes exterior changes and brags some of the new jaw-dropping features. The new C5 Aircross looks more modern than its predecessor. Let's check out what the car offers.

On the exterior, the 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross features a new front fascia design, a more radical divergence from the outgoing model.

The upgrades are crystal clear, and it can be clearly seen the car now features a bit modern yet a smaller grille, while the previously available split headlights with an individual LED strip for DRLs that was positioned right above the main cluster no longer hold a space. However, now it features dual broken illuminated stripes positioned parallel to the grille.

The double arrowhead brand logo is positioned right at the center, receiving its finishing touch in black lacquer with chrome trim. Going further below, the SUV gets a sportier reprofiled bumper thanks to more prominent air inputs and fewer plastic claddings.

The square trims present on both sides of the preceding model are now replaced by vertical air vents, serving better aerodynamics. It also benefits from modified fog light sections and a revised metallic accent on the anterior lip.

Other significant exterior updates comprise new 18-inch alloy wheels and gloss black mirrors. The rear end of the SUV hasn't undergone any such significant updates apart from the fresh LED graphics embedded behind the black-tinted glass and new tail light clusters.

Besides that, the SUV gets little tweaks for its interior, which includes a redesigned dashboard accommodating a massive 10-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment display. It is stated that the car draws its inspiration, from the redesigned cockpit, from the C5 X coupe SUV.

Citroen is yet to reveal the changes on the mechanical front.
