Elation Hypercars showcased its first EV, the Freedom

In recent times, we have seen a huge number of automobile manufacturers to come up with EV models. Along with that, several EV startups have also evolved in the past few years such as Rivian, NIO, and Nikola Motors. Similarly, Elation Hypercars, founded by Mauro Saravia and Carlos Satulovsky has come up with its new EV hypercar named ‘Freedom’ with the goal to achieve “the feeling of elation in a single automotive masterpiece.”

Elation Hypercars is a startup company, which is based in California and has contributed around six years for the development of its first car, which is none other than the Elation Freedom. Even though the startup is American, the entire development of this hypercar happened in Argentina. The engineers involved in the development are the ones who have previously worked in Le Mans, Formula 1, and other racing divisions.

Moving to the car’s design, it looks stunning, thanks to the low-slung body and numerous aero-focused elements such as a vented nose, front splitter, active rear wing, and side vents. These aids in offering a robust race car vibe. Talking about the dimensions, it is 4,495 mm long, 2,000 mm wide, 1,055 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, which makes it a quite large hypercar.

The company stated that it comes equipped with a carbon-kevlar monocoque chassis along with a carbon-fiber body. If the chassis is looked at closely, elements like double wishbones, a pushrod system, and bespoke Ohlins adjustable dampers can be spotted. The Freedom flaunts a rear weight distribution ratio of 45:55. In addition to that, in the race mode, the vehicle can be lowered down to 50 mm off the ground and 100 mm in its default setting, thanks to the use of an electro-hydraulic active ride height system.

The base version will be capable of churning out 1,427 hp and the upgraded four-motor setup will produce 1,903 hp. Other than EV, Elation also offers a gasoline version powered by a 5.2 litre naturally-aspirated V10, generating 750 hp.

The production of the Elation Freedom is planned to commence in Q4 of 2022.
