Fiat unveiled a new compact SUV in Brazil

Internally codenamed as Project 363, Fiat’s new small crossover has been under the wraps for quite some time. Well, the automaker, which is now a part of the Stellantis merger between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Groupe PSA (Peugeot and Citroen) has finally unveiled the new model in Brazil.

Given the fact that the car has been under development for over years now, the SUV is aimed to capture the markets of South America. It is also expected to leave Fiat’s mark on the mid-size SUV segment.

While the automaker is yet to confirm the name of its new offering, the brand had recently held an online poll, asking the customers to choose between the names Pulse, Tuo, or Domo. Talking of the USP of the car, it introduces the auto markets to Fiat’s latest MLA platform.

Talking of its latest platform, the automaker claims that its latest upgrade will help the car with increased levels of robustness, performance, comfort, and safety features. While these are all just claims, the actual results will be more of experience.

As far as looks of Fiat’s latest offering go, the latest SUV carries the traditional looks of the Fiat Italian flair. Overall, the car gets a sharper design feature with a re-sized front grille, paired with LED headlights, the looks of which seem to be inspired by the Maserati Levante.

Furthermore, the SUV also comprises all the looks and the size required to make it look more like a compact SUV. Starting right off its ground clearance to the aggressive exterior and strong lines and cladding, this stylish SUV is expected to be the next big thing in the market.

While the automaker has decided to stay quiet on the tech specs of the car, we are expecting the Fiat midsize SUV to derive its power from a fresh direct injection 1.0-litre 128 hp turbo petrol engine.

Lastly, while we have no details on the interior as well, the exact specs will only be available at the time of its release.
