Geely unveiled a new rugged SUV, the Boyue X
Geely is a brand that developed itself as one of the most profound brands over the years. The automaker which has developed a name around offering some of the best vehicles in the market has again come up with a fresh concept. This time, it’s a rugged SUV that goes by the name Geely Boyue X.
Unveiled at the Chengdu Auto Show, the Geely Bouye X is developed over the Boyue Pro model, introduced to the market over two years ago. Currently, the vehicle is being called the boldest-looking offering by the brand.
Taking a different styling appeal from the brand’s usual offerings, the Hangzhou-based company has provided the 2021 Geely Boyue X with a modern appeal. The car features a revised grille, replacing the signature “Expanding Cosmos” front grille with an intricate design, covered in the all-black fascia.
The automaker has also re-engineered the concept for its bumper design, giving it a reminiscent design. Other revisions across the body of the vehicle can be witnessed around the skid plate, and side intakes that are covered in orange accents.
Over the sides, there are blacked-out 19-inch twin-five spoke wheels with the orange brake calipers, new orange side trim, and black roof rails.
Inside, the Boyue X boasts completely refreshed interiors with a blue-and-white-themed finish. New additions inside the car are the paddle shifters that give it a sporty feel.
Other highlights of the interior include an iconic 12.3-inch infotainment system that is powered by Geely’s E01 system-on-chip (SoC). The chip has been re-designed to provide the vehicle with improved functionality, paired to a Bose sound system.
Lastly, powering the vehicle is a 1.8L turbocharged direct-injected four-cylinder petrol engine that is compliant to China National 6B emissions, churning out 180 hp of power besides 300 Nm of torque.
