Genesis G70 gets a major facelift for 2022

Hyundai’s luxury segment, Genesis has come up with a major facelift for the G70. Last month, the automaker provided its first glimpse, and now revealed the luxury sedan in a full-fledged manner in its home country.

Taking about the changes around the major facelift, the vehicle receives a major update in its design and overall appeal. The most notable change in the design of the vehicle is its front, where the car adapts to split headlights.

The other major changes include a revised grille that has adapted to the design of a shield and runs down to the bottom. Interestingly, Genesis has also revised the front vents, making it smaller than before.

Genesis G70 rear

Moving to its rear, the vehicle comes with revised taillights that carry a similar split treatment. Interestingly, the Sport model of the G70 enhances its looks with a wide and oval-shaped exhaust that can be seen making its way out of the individual corners where there are pipes running along with the diffuser.

While there have been no major changes around the engine range in South Korea, users will get a retouch on the drivetrain. The drivetrain adapts to Dynamic AWD System that introduces the engine with drift mode. Moreover, Genesis has also introduced a new Sports+ driving mode, adding to the powerful performance of the vehicle. The V6 engine has also received active valves exhausts to add a more muscular tone to the exhaust.

Genesis G70 cabin

Moving inside, the facelifted G70 comes with an updated 10.25-inch infotainment screen that has replaced the old 8.0-inch unit. Apart from the comfortable upholstery of its smartly designed cabin, the G70 also supports over-the-air navigation updates.

The other updates around the interior include enhanced clutter displays for better readability besides wireless smartphone charger and acoustic glass on the windshield and front door windows, adding to the quietness inside.

Lastly, the vehicle is scheduled to arrive in the global market in the first half of 2021.
