Genesis GV70 made its full debut with Smartstream turbo mill

Genesis GV70 has made its official debut, representing the brand’s fifth model and second SUV. The launch event was conducted via a cinematic launch film named - “GV70: A Travelogue.”

The exterior design flaunts two-tier headlights and the carmaker’s signature crest grille. The vehicle feels bulkier if compared to the GV80 as it comes with prominent C-pillars and a distinctive window line. Dimension-wise, it is 1,910 mm wide, 4,715 mm long, and 1,630 mm tall. The wheelbase measures 2,875 mm, which aids the car with excellent space at the rear.

Inside the car, it flaunts a huge 14.5-inch infotainment display that comes loaded with a ton of tech. It gets a similar two-spoke steering wheel that can be seen in the GV80. Other features include four-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch 3D digital instrument cluster, a dual-filter air purifier system, ambient lighting, and leather upholstery.

Under the hood, it gets a Smartstream 2.2-litre turbodiesel four-cylinder diesel engine, which churns out 210 PS (207 hp) of maximum power and 441 Nm of peak torque. A second engine option is a 2.5-litre unit delivering 304 PS (300 hp) and 422 Nm. The latter is followed by a 3.5-litre V6 engine generating 380 PS (375 hp) and 530 Nm. All of them come mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Safety-wise, it gets a plethora of features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Forward Attention Warning (FAW), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), and more.

The luxury SUV is expected to go on sale in the first half of 2021.
