GMC finally reveals its Hummer EV SUV

While General Motors has been teasing its upcoming electric SUV for months now, the automaker has finally given us a complete view of the all-new 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV. The automaker offered its first real look on Saturday in a commercial during the NCAA Final Four telecast.
Based on the same General Motors Ultium platform, the new EV SUV carries similar looks as the pickup truck that made its way into the global platform. Although the EV shares a shorter profile, the car is exactly how you’d imagine a Hummer to be.
The unique styling elements of the car include a full-size mounted spare tyre that seems to be a direct adoption from the old H2 and H3. The Edition 1 model will be dawning a set of 22-inch wheels, including side steps and floor liners to set things apart from the traditional GMC offering.
Powered by a 20-module Ultium battery pack, the Hummer EV picks up on a three-motor electric layout underneath. The setting gives out an estimated 300 miles of range, aiding the vehicle with over 830 hp. The power-packed mill of the SUV is expected to give the car enough power to claim a 100 kmph (from 0 touchdown) in 3.5 seconds.
Inside, the car is seemingly similar to the others in its lineup. The smartly designed interior resonates with a similar five-person layout from its pick-up variant. However, the only change here is that the car seems to be better in terms of its rear seating arrangements and gets a roofed cargo area.
The interior of the car also dawns features like a standard Infinity Roof with removable Sky Panels, rear drop glass, and auxiliary buttons. Interestingly, the automaker will offer the SUV with over 200 accessories at launch.
Lastly, referred to as the "super truck," the EV SUV is available to reserve now, and the first models will hit streets in early 2023.
