Great Wall Ora Good Cat launched in Thailand
Great Wall Motors has launched an all-new compact electric city car Ora Good Cat in Thailand. The new Ora Good Cat will be available in a total of three variants – Tech, Pro, and Ultra. The Tech and Pro variants are priced at 989,000 baht (SGD 40,105) and 1.059 million baht (SGD 42,944) respectively. On the other hand, the range-topping Ultra variant is priced at 1.199 million baht (SGD 48,621). For the time being, the Ora Good Cat is being brought to Thailand through the CBU route.
In terms of features, the base Tech variant of the Ora Good Cat is equipped with an active front grille, LED headlamps, 17-inch steel wheels, fabric seats, 7-inch TFT instrument console, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with four speakers, automatic climate control with PM2.5 air filter, five drive modes, cruise control, dual airbags, reverse parking sensors, and low-speed emergency braking.
The Pro variant adds in features like 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, panoramic sunroof, artificial leather upholstery, powered driver’s seat, adaptive cruise control, wireless charger, 360-degree camera, traffic jam assist, automatic emergency braking, front collision warning, lane departure warning and cornering brake control.
The additional features in the top-spec Ultra variant are welcome to light effect in headlamps, memory and massage function in driver’s seat, six speakers, park assist, lane change assist, emergency lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic alert, rear collision warning, and front parking sensors.
All the variants of the Ora Good Cat come standard with an electric motor mounted on the front axle, which produces 105 kW (143 PS) of maximum power and 210 Nm of maximum torque. While the Tech and Pro variants get a smaller 47.8 kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery that offers a range of 400 km, the top-spec Ultra variant offers a range of 500 km from its 63.1 kWh battery.
With up to 6.6 kW AC charging, the Tech and Pro variants take eight hours and the Ultra variant takes ten hours to get fully charged. Also, with up to 60 kW DC fast charging, the time taken for 0-80% charge is 45 minutes for the Tech and Pro variants and 60 minutes for the Ultra variant.
