Honda S660 Modulo X Version Z makes a debut in Japan
The Honda S660 was launched in 2015 as a successor to the Beat version, and three years later, it rolled out the S660 Modulo X. Both the premium versions were exclusively designed and sold in the Japanese market.
Recently, the automaker revealed the jazzed-up Z Version of the pint-sized sports cars with the facelifts emphasizing the exterior designs at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2020. The Z version is all set for upscaling to another level for the sensational mini-city racer.
With the mechanical enhancements, this premium racer in its rear-wheel encompasses a six-speed manual transmission and a mid-mounted three turbo cylinder 660-cc engine with the mechanical enhancements. It gets a performance output of 64 PS at 6000 RPM and 104 Nm of torque at 2,600 RPM. Though, the mill has been the same to match the standards of Kei regulations in Japan.
The exterior aesthetics get a striking appeal in the Z Version for featuring the premium Sonic Grey Pearl paint finish. What sounds even better for the car owners is the Premium Star White Pearl alternative color option. The majority of the car emblem on the exterior flaunts a black chrome finish while the wheels and active spoiler are shaded in black.
The interior witnesses the door panels upholstered in black Lux Suede with Bordeaux Red leather stitched contrastingly in gray. The cabin is done in a carbon-like trim in different areas like the visor panels, air vents, instruments binnacle, and center stack. It offers a sense of posh appeal with its model name exhibited through an aluminum plaque bearing at the center console and a removable center seat bag.
The car’s latest amenities get resemblance to the previous S660 Modulo X, so inclusions like the improved braking system and flexible five-stage dampers remain standard. Moreover, it also has an integrated central exhaust, sportier bumpers, active rear spoilers, and staggered aluminum wheels.
However, the Japanese automaker made it clear that the production of the earlier S660 models will cease at the end of March 2022. Until now, the company has sold over 30,000 units of both the S660 and S660 Modulo X.
The S660 Modulo X Version Z gets a tag of 3,150,400 yen, which is pricier than the standard Modulo X.
