Indonesia-bound Toyota Raize grabbed 1,269 bookings in a week
Toyota’s most recent offering in Indonesia, the all-new Raize was introduced on April 30 alongside the twin-model Daihatsu Rocky.
Among the two cars introduced to the market, the Raize has already made a great start in terms of sales. The appealing dynamics and powerful engine of the car have made it a star in terms of bookings. Following a week of its introduction (as of May 6), Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) witnessed an overall booking of 1,269 units for the new model.
According to local publication Autonetmagz, the bookings made in a week for the car are impressive as they represent a strong number, despite the deteriorated cognition of the market due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Talking about their latest stint, Anton Jimmi Suwandy, marketing director of TAM, commented, “We’re thankful that the Toyota Raize has received positive response from customers, as seen from the good SPK numbers after just a week of launch. Thanks for the attention and enthusiasm from the Indonesian public.”
Given the company’s monthly target to close their sales at over 2,000 units of the Raize, the numbers are already very positive. A majority of the overall units booked were from the main island of Jawa, representing a strong demand for the car.
