Indonesia’s GIIAS Auto Show coming back in August 2021

Motor shows have become a rarity today. When compared to the life before Covid-19, the shows seem to be a relic of the past life that we’ve had before. With coronavirus showing its impact across multiple parts of the globe, the disease is occurring at intervals across different countries.

However, looking at the ease of situations over Indonesia, Gaikindo, the country’s very own version of the auto manufacturer’s association, is planning to host the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2021 in the country. 

With a successful vaccination drive going throughout the country, the situation seems to be improving and thus GIIAS is all set to be held like it had been since 2015. Currently, the event is all set to start from August 12, lasting over a span of 10 days till August 22. The event will be held at its usual spot, i.e. Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) at BSD City, situated right outside of the capital city Jakarta.

As reported by Autonetmagz, Gaikindo head Yohannes Nangoi mentioned that the organizers of the event are all trying to make the event a success by keeping tight coordination with Indonesia’s ministry of tourism and creative economy, health ministry, and the police. 

As per the organizers, the GIIAS Auto Show will ensure proper alignment of health and safety protocols in the operations as well. The event will be made successful with the GIIAS Auto360 application that is expected to assist the attendees with “tight and detailed” health protocols, as well as serve as a digital platform for the show.

Talking of the GIIAS Auto360 application, the application is necessary for the visitors of the event as it is the only medium to purchase tickets. The application is also responsible for hosting registration for the programs, early health screenings, and similar test drives. 

While the auto show was put at a halt for 2020, the organizers are trying every possible means to make the event a safe and entertaining one.
