Isuzu D-Max gets an off-road makeover
Isuzu teams up with Arctic Trucks to bring its newly launched D-Max pickup, making it an aggressive off-roading beast for the UK market. Arctic trucks is one of the most renowned names in the segment. The modifier rose to fame when one of its modified Toyota Hilux with off-roading abilities made it to the North Pole in 2007.
Ever since the last 14 years, the company has been a regular contributor to the industry, coming up with aftermarket modifications that can make driving around the challenging Arctic landscape easier. Their latest effort is the new Arctic Trucks Isuzu D-Max AT35.
Talking of the looks of the vehicle, the maker ensures to keep up with the aggressive-looking stance of this beast with rugged looks. To add to the character, Arctic Trucks has improved the chassis strength, included a Bilstein Performance suspension, and provided the truck with 35-inch wheels which comprise all-terrain tyres for easy off-roading abilities.
Further, Arctic Trucks have added some cosmetic tweaks to it. The truck gets wider fender flares adding to its overall stance. The side steps added to the truck make it very easy to step in and out of this really tall vehicle.
Moving inside, the Arctic Truck Isuzu D-Max AT35 gets the tuner’s premium upholstery setting with sill and headrest covers covered in complete leather. The truck also packs on the latest in-car technology, including Android and Apple play settings.
The powertrain in the car is subtle! It packs up a single powertrain unit with a 1.9L turbodiesel that churns out a total of 162 hp, besides giving out a peak torque unit of 360 Nm. Pairing the powertrain of the car is a standard six-speed manual gearbox. However, buyers can also opt for an optional six-speed auto.
Lastly, the Arctic Truck Isuzu D-Max AT35 is all set to go on sale in the first quarter of 2022 in the UK.
