It’s official, the 2022 Opel/Vauxhall Grandland made its debut

The German automaker Opel and its sister brand Vauxhall have recently pulled the wraps off the new Grandland facelift. For the new version, the automakers dropped the title ‘X’  and adapted to a more streamlined approach with sharper design features.  The revised styling is supposed to compete against ongoing models like the Peugeot 3008, Nissan Qashqai, Ford Kuga, Renault Kadjar, and Volkswagen Tiguan.

The redesigned car now comes with a Vizor front end, making it similar to the looks of the latest Mokka. It features an upper grille with headlamps for a cohesive look. The lighting system of the car is showcased by adaptive IntelliLux LED Pixel Light technology, comprising 84 LED elements that are well-distributed across three rows.

Moving closer to the car, the Grandland facelift comprises three small air intakes, complemented with the presence of artificial angled air intakes that are placed at the corners of the bumper. Moving to the rear, the vehicle resonates with the looks of a remnant of the pre-facelift model. Overall, the exterior of the car looks more streamlined, making it a more visually appealing vehicle.

While the automaker has done a great job at redesigning the exterior of the facelift model, they’ve kept a similar sense of styling on the inside as well. You can notice a significant overhaul in this smartly designed cabin space.

The USP inside the cabin is the presence of multiple screens, one 10-inch unit that acts as a digital instrument cluster, accompanied by a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen beside it. Occupants can also connect their devices with the car’s built-in screen using Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Lastly, while the automaker has not revealed much information around the powertrain of the car, we’re expecting the facelift to be powered by all the three possible options - petrol, diesel, and a hybrid powertrain.
