KIA unveils the 4th-gen Carens SUV

KIA has finally lifted the veil off its all-new Carens in India. The new three-row SUV by the Korean brand is set to commence its official operations, early next year.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • When will Kia Carens go on sale?

The Kia Carens three-row SUV will go on sale early next year.
  • The Carens will be KIA India’s fourth offering in the country and the SUV will be facilitating both petrol and diesel engine options besides transmission choices.

The Carens is practically a three-row interpretation of the prevalent Seltos SUV, and it will arrive in showrooms from early next year.

However, unlike the Seltos, the Carens is the earliest car in their line-up to be styled along the new KIA creative course. Fierce lines and refined details enhance the car's exterior design, and things get sounder on the inside. KIA's new 'opposites united' approach establishes the Carens' creation philosophy.

A long wheelbase pledges plenty of room for six to seven adults inside, subject to the layout one desires. The cabin is immense and relatively well-equipped. The most delinquent infotainment can be accessed using the enormous 10.25-inch touchscreen that extrudes sound via an eight-speaker Bose sound system. The brand even claims to employ premium quality materials for upholstery and the cabin's touch points.

In fact, they have also incorporated a few competent elements for the Indian market, including fold-away cup holders, a mini-table for second-row passengers and an electric collapsible seat that furnishes easy admission to the third row. Further, the brand claims to add extra space for the vehicle's third row and affirms to put it to test when the car gets on the road.

Under the hood, the Carens will hold the identical 1.5-litre petrol or diesel mills that are available with the Seltos. Thus, we can envision the ability and torque figures to be identical as well. Once rolled out, it would be intriguing to witness how the three-row KIA takes over the Mahindra XUV700, the Hyundai Alcazar, and the Tata Safari.
