McLaren shows off its limited-edition hypercar

McLaren looks forward to ending the year on a high note; the British carmaker has pulled off the wraps of its limited-edition hypercar, the Sabre. Limited to 15 units, this hypercar will be exclusive to the US market, as per Autocar UK sources.

One of the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) exclusives, the Sabre, is a bespoke commissioned hypercar that is the next level of customisation. Interestingly, the USP around this limited run car is the fact that it was developed with its owners, taking part in the development process.

The McLaren Sabre boasts a unique design concept. The eye-catching design of this car features a long front overhang that is further enhanced with large vents that make the hood look edgier.

The automaker has done a commendable task around pulling off an incredibly sleek and streamlined design, making it an out of the box approach with a complicated splitter present in the front end.

The rear of this limited-run car picks up on thin vertical LED lighting strips, an exhaust located centrally on the rear of the vehicle, and a huge diffuser, adding to the aerodynamics. Further, the gigantic wing makes the car stand out that is attached via two huge endplates.

Powering this hypercar is a twin-turbo V8 engine, firing out 824 hp of power besides giving out 800 Nm of torque at its peak, also making Sabre the most powerful non-hybrid McLaren to exist. Coming to the engine abilities, the car can pull off a maximum speed of 351 km per hour.

The interior of the car comprises a minimalist design with bucket seats covered in red and black, blending with the tone of the overall design feature of the hypercar.  The presence of bucket seats also adds to the stance of the car.

Lastly, the Bespoke Commission customer experience allows the car owners to work closely with the MSO development team, comprising all the engineers, designers, and test drivers, allowing McLaren to precisely deliver what the customers prefer.
