Next-generation Skoda Fabia makes a debut, looks bigger and better
Following a long teaser campaign, Skoda has finally pulled the wraps off its next-gen Fabia. The car that is based on the VW Group’s modular MQB-A0 platform is by far, the most spacious car in the segment.
Thanks to the use of the new platform, the car has grown significantly in terms of its overall dimension. The increased length, width, and wheelbase now make it look broader than its previous generation offerings. Even the boot space of the car is now up by 50 litres, making it to a total of 380 litres.
Talking about their latest achievement with the car, Thomas Schäfer, Skoda Auto CEO, said: “The Fabia has been an integral part of our portfolio for over 20 years and embodies the core values of our brand like no other mode model. The latest generation has everything it takes to seamlessly build on the success of its predecessors. Further, he also added, “It offers more space than its competitors, perfect connectivity, advanced assistance systems and an emotive design – in other words, all you need, and a little more.”
Talking of the design feature of the new and better Fabia, the car now looks alluring with sharper characteristics that are on point and have an aggressive look. Further, the car even gets better and more prominent character lines.
Powering the hatchback is a petrol mill of 1.0L MPI, 1.0-litre TSI, and an additional 1.5L engine. Another interesting update around the car is a larger 50-litre fuel tank, increased by over 10L and extended range of 950 km.
Inside, the new Skoda Fabia gets a revised treatment, making the car more appealing and is centered towards the driver, making it more fun to drive. With all the features in place, the car looks better and more promising than before!
