Nissan's e-4ORCE tech pulls off smooth ramen delivery

Nissan has rolled out a video of the Nissan e-4ORCE Ramen Counter project, which shows how the company's latest vehicle control technology can offer a comfortable ride in e-4ORCE-equipped vehicles — as well as for bowls of noodles. The video demonstrates how a motorised server tray equipped with e-4ORCE technology delivers ramen while maintaining the integrity of the dish’s presentation by controlling splashing and movement. It shows how the technology benefits Nissan’s vehicles.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • What is Nissan e-4ORCE control tech?

The Nissan e-4ORCE is an advanced all-wheel control tech that manages the power output and braking performance of the vehicle for smoothness and stability.
  • Nissan e-4ORCE

The all-new 2023 Nissan Ariya crossover EV features e-4ORCE control technology. Nissan says the e-4ORCE precision control technology and twin electric motors are fine-tuned to provide "unparalleled ride comfort for all vehicle occupants."

The e-4ORCE technology works by correctly controlling power output and braking performance, which helps to boost driver confidence by tracing the planned driving path over practically any road surface, including wet and snowy roads. Engineers fine-tuned the precise control technology and dual electric motors in the e-4ORCE to give unmatched ride comfort for all vehicle occupants. When the vehicle is decelerating, front and rear motor regenerative brakes are used to reduce vehicle pitch and dip, which can cause motion sickness.

    Nissan Ariya

Similar to the Ariya with e-4ORCE, the ramen server tray comprises two electric motors that operate independently. The powertrain delivers flawless acceleration and smooth travel on the countertop on the back of some fine engineering and tuning by Nissan engineers. Nissan says the e-4ORCE tech is the spiritual offspring of the Nissan GT-R's ATTESA E-TS torque split system and the Patrol's intelligent 4x4 system.

The masses in the US can now reserve the 2023 Nissan Ariya for a fully refundable fee of USD 500 (SGD 682). Set to hit the dealerships this fall, the electric crossover will be up for grabs in as many as four trims levels — Venture+, Evolve+, Premiere, and Platinum+. The Platinum+ is the only variant to feature the e-4ORCE AWD system. It packs in a good 394 PS of maximum power and is priced at USD 58,950 (SGD 80,399).
