Polestar 2 launched in Singapore; price starts at SGD 214,000

Polestar is back with its latest offering, the Polestar 2! The five-door liftback was displayed on 45 Leng Kee Road, earlier this week. Though the carmaker has just initiated its journey via Wearnes Automotive in Singapore, potential buyers already had access to the upcoming car behind closed doors last October. 

Speaking of the design, the all-new Polestar 2 has Pixel LED technology integrated headlamps along with DRLs, which has Thor’s Hammer-like design. There is a front trunk of 35 liters, which serves the storage purpose. 

At its rear, one has to lift both the rear windscreen and tailgate together to reach the 405-liter mammoth boot space. The lower edges get the black paint job along with full-width wraparound LED tail lights.

The interior highlights of the Singapore-spec Polestar 2 include an 11.15-inch display, a 13-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a panoramic glass roof.

At its heart, the Polestar 2 Single Motor Plus Pack comes with an electric motor that is capable of pushing out a maximum power of 231 hp. The electric motor is powerful enough to reach 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.4 seconds. As per the WLTP test cycle, the driving range of the EV is 540 km.

On the other hand, the Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor Pilot Pack has a combined power output of 408 hp and 660 Nm of torque. It hits the 100 kmph speed in just 4.7 seconds, while the driving range of this car is 470 km.

Coming to the pricing, the Polestar 2 Single Motor Plus Pack has a price tag of SGD 214,000, while the Long Range Dual Motor Pilot Pack is priced at SGD 240,000. Moreover, there is also an optional Performance Pack, which takes the price up to SGD 256,000.

As per sources, the automaker had already collected around 50 refundable deposits in its closed-door deal.
