Renault’s Dacia to unveil a new 7-seater model this year

Renault-owned Dacia is gearing up for the launch of its new product offering. As per the official news by the automaker, the brand will be unveiling a new seven-seater family car at the Munich auto show set to be held in early September, from 7-12.

While it’s a bit too early to comment on any specific feature about the car, provided that we have no technical detail, it is all about wild estimations and theories. However, we won't be surprised to witness the Dacia come accompanied by a similar styling as the rebadged Renault Triber.

Interestingly, the automaker has something to add to their upcoming offering’s arrival. As per the automaker, their upcoming family vehicle will be “highly versatile”. Considering the statement, the upcoming 7-seater family car is more likely to replace the Lodgy MPV, getting the physical attributes of a much larger SUV. 

Given the company’s renewed focus on crossovers and it is more rugged brand image, reports from the French media suggest that the upcoming Dacia model will be riding over the CMF-B architecture, which underpins Renault's Clio and Captur.

The upcoming SUV could borrow styling cues from the brand’s Bigster concept (pictured above), the design language of the prototype marks a departure from the automaker’s initial bargain-basement designs. It adopts a more imposing look that makes it angular in its appeal. 

Further, keen eyes can notice the full-width headlight and grille that add sporty elements to the design feature of the show model. Other than the stance and headlight of the vehicle, we can also notice strong front and rear haunches accompanied by large wheels. 

Lastly, looking at the official statement from the automaker, it also confirms that the upcoming seven-seater model will be wearing Dacia’s new brand identity, paired with fresh colors from the brand. The upcoming event is going to launch the brand's first international model in almost two years.
