Skoda revealed official sketches of Enyaq iV ahead of debut
Despite having set its global launch date for 31st January, Skoda hasn't taken a step back from raising the excitement among the netizens for its next-gen Skoda Enyaq iV electric SUV.
Thus, right ahead of its global launch date, Skoda has again floated a few teaser sketches of the Enyaq iV. And looking at the sketches, it is clear the coupe borrows its roofline sketch from the Volkswagen ID.5.
The Czech manufacturer claims the Enyaq iV coupe fetches 24 km more driving range compared to its standard version, subjected to a selection of a larger battery, 534 km in total.
Besides, buyers have an open option of selecting any of the two battery variants powering the rear wheels as per their requirements. Furthermore, a 150 kw rear-wheel version is also available as an added option.
However, both the models are underpinned by the MEB electric vehicle architecture, the one used by Volkswagen Group for its battery-electric vehicles.
Even the brand confirmed the same in a recent media release stating that the motive of having a sleek emotive design for the Enyaq iV coupe is to proffer better aerodynamics from its standard SUV version.
Skoda claims the upcoming car would offer the best possible drag coefficient of its class, proffering more elevated aerodynamics. In fact, the company stated its drag coefficient is all set to create a new benchmark for the entire segment.
Apart from all of the information mentioned above, it is a fact worth noting that Enyaq is the first all-electric car manufactured by the Czech automobile company. Besides, the name itself emanates from an Irish word meaning source of life.
Skoda plans to launch the EV in the Indian market by 2023 as a Fully Built Unit (FBU).
