Tesla offers car wrapping service in China
A manufacturer of noteworthy cars, Tesla has hopped on the popular trend of car wrapping in China. The car wrap services will be offered at the service centres itself, starting with five cities in the country.
Known to crash the security tests, Tesla has worked on reducing the choices on exterior colour options. The suggested move on its vehicles is said to streamline production and facilitate repairs at the service centres.
The limited colour options resulted in many Tesla owners turning to third parties for getting colourful wraps on their cars. The EV maker made an announcement via its social handle at weibo.com about its new service.
The post came up with some visual treats, showing off the pictures of the Model X wrapped in a striking yellow colour. The wrap services can be seen as a solution and an opportunity for Tesla as the brand is aware that its customers are upset with the erratic paint quality.
Tesla has raised the bar by offering this service to its customers. The move can be considered as a positive point when it comes to adding money to the total revenue generated by the automaker.
Apart from this, the automaker heads up for the new version of the electric SUV, Model Y that would be coming in the next few months. The vehicle shares its styling cues and driving platform with the Model 3 sedan. Being Tesla’s first compact SUV, Model Y also does great at carrying a similar cabin space as Model 3.
The luxury SUV comes with a battery pack, covering 316 miles of driving range in the all-wheel-drive model. The 2020 Tesla Model Y is a direct competition to Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, offering third-row seats for a total seating capacity of seven.
Lastly, Tesla’s Elon Musk also suggested that the Cybertruck could also be a part of the wrap-up service.
