Toyota Avanza Set To Take A Stroll This February!

Having unveiled the all-new Avanza last year in November, Toyota is all set to roll out its third-generation seven-seat SUV, the Avanza, for the general public of Thailand next month as per the report published by Headlight magazine.

Yet, there isn't any confirmed statement rolled out by the company whether or if the country would be enjoying any new variant besides the planned rolled out sibling. However, it is stated that, despite having set out three variants in terms of transmission, the SUV would be available only in 1.5-liter CVT, scrapping the 1.3 variant and manual transmission currently on sale in Indonesia.

This certainly implies the country would be missing out on the 2NR-VE naturally aspirated dual VVT-i engine that churns off 106 PS. So, besides the stated update, let us help you recapitulate what the new Avanza proffers.

The SUV even gets an extended wheelbase with a comparatively more trendy interior layout matching with time. The layout holds a whooping 7-inch digital instrument panel, 360-degree camera system, 9-inch touch screen host, automatic climate control, Qi wireless charger, along with six airbags and stability control putting safety ahead of all.

The next-gen SUV even features the standard Toyota Safety Sense driver assistance system kit along with other safety features such as lane-keeping assist, front departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and pedal misoperation control.

Well, all of this was expected as the new Avanza represents a significant shift in the model, riding on Perodua Ativa's Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA).

But what's worth wondering is the fact that is Toyota planning or even willing to roll out its Avanza next year in Malaysia to give an edge to its sales figure right before Perodua rolls out D27A Alsa? Although the company makes nothing such a confirmed statement, it is still speculated that Toyota would arrive soon to leverage the early bird factor of the market.
