World’s most powerful SUV Aston Martin DBX707 unveiled
Aston Martin recently unveiled its new DBX707, a flagship variant of the crowd's favorite DBX range. The British luxury carmaker claims its new model to be the world’s most powerful SUV with a whole new range of upgrades. Let’s see what the vehicle has to offer.
The new DBX707 receives several changes, setting it apart from the standard variant. It features large quad exhausts, a new spoiler, black trim detailing, a muscular front bumper, large air intakes, as well as a huge grille with an interesting mesh pattern.
The interior also gets a similar sporty look with Sport Plus seats being standard, while the switchgear receives a black chrome finishing. The new DBX707 also comes with a new driving mode selector panel for immediate fingertip control. This is a handy upgrade from the previous model where one had to change from the touchscreen.
Coming to the engine, here the Aston Martin DBX707 receives some significant changes. The twin-turbocharged Mercedes-AMG-derived V8 engine now delivers a power output of 707 hp and a peak torque of 900 Nm. It now features ball-bearing turbochargers and a 9-speed automatic gearbox for improved performance.
Tobias Moers, CEO of Aston Martin also suggested that the DBX707 can beat the SUV lap record at the Nurburgring. Currently, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT holds this record at 7 mins 38.9 seconds.
Moers also added that they have high hopes for the upcoming DBX variant. It can even make up for 60% of total DBX sales after launch. He compared the upcoming vehicle with an unnamed rival vehicle that is “too comfortable” for DBX707 buyers and also makes “a lot of sales every year”.
From what we can see, the new DBX707 will rival the likes of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo SE Hybrid, Bentley Bentayga Speed, and the Lamborghini Urus. And so we are very excited to know more! Till then, stay tuned for more news.
