On the inside, the Skoda Kodiaq looks as neat, sophisticated, and appealing as it looks on the outside, with the Singapore-spec model getting all-black interior theme with piano black and faux sark wood inserts.

The simple-looking three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel as well as the very cool looking virtual cockpit design for the instrument console looks very appealing. Here too, the rear bumper gets thick body cladding, adding much of ruggedness to the profile.

The Skoda Kodiaq might not be an out and out off-road worthy SUV as some of its ladder-on-frame peers. However, it glides over broken sections of tarmac with ease and keeping the inner occupants comfort with soft ride quality and very well-controlled body roll.

The lower Ambition Plus and Sportline variants get a 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which puts up 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque and gets a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive as standard.

On the other hand, the higher Style and Laurin & Klement variants have a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine under the hood, which makes 180 PS of power and 320 Nm of torque, and is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard.
