Check out the teaser images of the 2021 Hyundai i30 N
Hyundai released the teaser images of the all-new i30 N, which reveal the mid-cycle updates of its first N division car. Considering the competition around hatchbacks, the South Korean automaker decided to crank it up a notch with its offering.
While the underpinning is surely adapted from the former model, the 2021 i30N differs from it on several levels. The exterior of the car adapts to a sharper and more refined design approach with its newly revamped front and rear bumpers. The car also comes with a more sporty looking LED head and tail lamps.
Other instances of styling upgrades can be seen across the rear of the car that features a redesigned diffuser, and significantly larger exhaust outlets. The upcoming i30 N rides on the new 19-inch alloy wheels that provide improved ride height to the car besides shedding off 14 kg of weight. Other than this, the signature N badging can be seen across the exteriors.
As for its performance, the i30 N will not be seen with any changes to its ongoing powertrain that comprises of a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine. The engine gives out a maximum power output of 250 hp besides delivering a peak torque of 353 Nm. On the other hand, the additional Performance Pack setup increases the power output by 25 hp, making it a total of 275 hp besides delivering 392 Nm of peak torque.
Another exciting news around the upcoming i30 N is that it will come equipped with a newly developed eight-speed DCT. This upcoming car will be one of the first in its lineup to come mated to the new gearbox that will be carrying “dedicated N performance shifting functions.”
Lastly, there is no news on the interiors of the car, however, the i30 N might be seen adapting to the styling of the former i30. The car is expected to make its debut by 2021.
