Nissan Note e-Power Interior & Features

Step inside the cabin of the Nissan Note E-Power, and you will be impressed by the harmony of new-age design elements and the conventional design cues. The cabin looks nice and premium and comes with an all-black Nappa leather upholstery theme.

The Nissan Note E-Power has a new-age three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with a rounded centre boss and a flat bottom. Behind the steering wheel, there is a large rectangular housing, which accommodates a full-TFT 7-inch rectangular instrument console, which adds some fanciness to the cabin. Another aspect that looks fancy in the cabin is the large rectangular free-standing 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is placed just adjacent to the instrument console.

There is a nice-layered finish for the middle layer of the dashboard, which also accommodates sleek-looking vents in the centre console and large and angular AC vents in the corners. The lower centre console looks simple with rounded housings for climate control buttons and a classy-looking transmission lever with piano black surrounds in the central transmission tunnel.

Note e-Power Exterior

Nissan has ditched the boxy and old-school appearance of the older-generation Note and has made it looks sleeker and more aerodynamic. The overall design of the Nissan Note E-Power looks very much inspired by the latest-generation Micra and has grown in size which makes it look bigger and more premium than before.

At the front, the Nissan Note E-Power has an edgy and sleek-looking front fascia, which looks wide and stretched with the sharp and angular all-LED headlamps with daytime running LEDs. With a sweptback design, these headlamps have an inverted L-shaped chrome garnish below them, which looks like mascara applied to the eyes. The large trapezoidal grille between the headlamps has triangular inserts, which adds some sportiness to the design. The lower part of the front bumper has scooped designs for the air dam and fog lamp housings, the latter of which gets small rounded fog lamps within them.

The side profile of the Nissan Note E-Power looks futuristic with its long and planted stance characterized by sleek creases flowing across its length. The large side windows and door panels further accentuate its design and make the car look big. What makes the car look even sportier are the closed design for the wheels, rounded arcs over the wheel arches, and door-mounted rearview mirrors.

From the back, the Nissan Note E-Power looks aggressive with a sharply raked rear windscreen and cool-looking trapezoidal LED tail lamps. Between the tail lamps, one can find a translucent LED light bar with a Nissan logo stretched in the middle of it. The wide and high-mounted rear bumper applique further makes the rear profile of the Nissan Note E-Power look muscular.

Nissan Note e-Power Ride & Handling

The Nissan Note E-Power feels comfortable and planted to drive and be seated in, courtesy of the soft setup for the MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear. The steering is light, which is good for city use but feels a bit uninspiring at higher speeds.

Note e-Power Engine & Fuel Consumption

Powering the Nissan Note E-Power is a combination of a 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a front-mounted electric motor and a lithium-ion battery. The combined power and torque output of this whole powertrain is 115 PS and 280 Nm respectively. The car gets a CVT gearbox and front-wheel drive system as standard.

Nissan Note e-Power Braking & Safety

The Nissan Note E-Power is packed with modern-day safety features and electronic driving aids, like seven airbags, electronic parking brake with auto hold, front and rear parking sensors, rear camera, intelligent emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane intervention, lane departure warning, high beam assist, intelligent rearview mirror, vehicle dynamic control, intelligent trace control, hill start assist and intelligent driver alertness.

Note e-Power Verdict

With this new generation model, the Nissan Note E-Power has become much sharper in outer appearance, much more comfortable and premium on the inside, and much more refined to drive in the real world.
