2022 Honda Civic sedan revealed

Post a long period of teasing and lead-up to its arrival, Honda has finally announced the arrival of its 11th-gen Honda Civic sedan via an official picture. The car, now in its final production form, resonates with similar styling as the last year’s prototype, paired with a few corrections over the style and appeal of the final production form.

Overall, the new Honda looks better than its predecessor. With a newly styled design architecture that makes the car similar to the Civic Type-R design, we can say that the car looks more aggressive than its showcased prototype (pictured below).

The pushed-back A-pillars, sweeping roofline, distinctive window line kink, and low-slung front end make the car a far better offering than what a majority of enthusiasts expected. The cleaner, more mature front end of the car has retained its full-width grille bar that allows the car to keep up with a minimalist design.

However, we can notice that there has been some slight tweaking around when it comes to the detail of the car. The grille of the Honda Civic is now downturned and resembles a rather smaller dimension than the show car. Other revamp can be seen around its fog lights where it has been sprouted on either side of the center air intake.

While the automaker has decided to keep it low on their design feature, the officials at Honda promised that “the 2022 Civic Sedan is the most fun to drive and technologically advanced sedan in the model's nearly 50-year history.” Having said that, we can expect the Japanese automaker to add their latest tech features in the upcoming Civic.

Similarly, there are no updates on the mill of the car. However, considering the engine offerings of the current-gen Honda cars, we can expect the upcoming model to feature either the 2.0L or a more powerful turbocharged 1.5-liter as optional.

Lastly, the car is expected to hit the US dealerships in a few months from now.
