2022 Nissan GT-R T-Spec special edition unveiled

The Nissan GT-R has been one of the top-level offerings in the automaker’s forte. Completing over a decade of its automobile lifespan (14 years) in the market, the supercar gets a new special edition version for the year 2022 dubbed as the Nissan GT-R T-Spec.

The limited-edition GT-R T-spec will be released in North America, later this fall, unlike the previously released GT-R Nismo version that is limited to the home market. 

Talking of the two T-spec models, named “Trend” and “Traction”, the car resonates with two different states of styling with a premium model, and a track-oriented flavor.  

Talking of the GT-R Premium T-spec as the initial model in the lineup, the car is engineered on some of the premium Japanese specification models. The car adapts to a more streamlined finish with forged rays alloy wheels, covered in bronze finish. Other highlights of the car include the reduced weight of the car and road-focused suspension. 

Moving to the limited-edition GT-R Track-ready vehicle, the Nismo T-spec engineered car makes things different! The car comes wrapped in elements of carbon fiber across the exterior. Covering up the major elements of the car is its carbon fibre roof. Other elements include carbon-ceramic brakes and their yellow callers, lifted from the GT-R Nismo. Interestingly, both the premium and track-ready versions of the car are limited to 100 units for each. 

Open the hood of the car and users will be able to have a peek into the VR38DETT 3.8L twin-turbocharged V6, churning out a 570 hp of power, besides churning out up to 637 Nm of maximum torque output. 

Interestingly, the lineup also introduces us to the latest color addition Midnight Purple, inspired by the aurora borealis.
