KEY TAKEAWAYS
What are the key highlights of the next-gen Kia Niro?
The next-gen Kia Niro is offered in three different variants - hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric. The design features remarkable transformations giving the car a distinct overall appeal. When it comes to the exterior of the latest Kia Niro, it is evident that the 2019 HabaNero concept inspired certain parts of the design. The front of the car is equipped with elegant-looking LED lights that contribute greatly towards enhancing the overall style of the headlamps. The slim upper grille paired with a large lower grille on the front gives Niro a hunky look. The rear lamps of the car are shaped like a boomerang which fits perfectly with the two tones body.
The interior of the Niro has undergone a complete transformation, especially the elegant and distinct-looking dashboard that resembles the one found in Kia RV6. Further, the car's interior features a dual-screen that is divided into two different segments, with the first one displaying the counters and the second one displaying the infotainment system.
Below that, we can find a center console that features an electronic gear shift wheel right at the center. The diagonal gaps within the upgraded dashboard have been well utilized, with the gaps being filled with air vents and an audio-visual screen.
The Kia Niro is also equipped with a new driving mode called "Greenzone" that enables the driver to switch from hybrid to electric whenever necessary. Further, Kia’s sustainability efforts for making new Niro includes recycled wallpapers for the headliner. Further, the seats are made of organic polyurethane and textile fiber made with organic materials like eucalyptus leaves.
Mr. Ho Sung Song, CEO, and President of Kia ensured that Kia would continue to make efforts for a sustainable future while inviting everyone else to join the said movement into the new era of mobility.
