First look of 2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line released
There has been a strong buzz created, as the South Korean automobile giant, Hyundai has released the forthcoming Elantra N Line’s few digital renderings. The new variant will be based on the 7th-generation C-segment sedan, Elantra, and will be sportier.
The 2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line is expected to get a more intrusive cascading grille at the front. Other features include dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels, motorsport-inspired air intake, and twin exhaust pipes on the sedan’s right side. The sportier-looking version includes N Line window surroundings, side skirts, and gloss black side mirror caps.
As of now nothing about the Elantra N Line features has been revealed by the automaker, but still, it can be assumed that the upcoming sedan will get the 2.0-litre T-GDi four-cylinder engine, which is present on the other N models. The engine is capable enough to produce a maximum power of 250 hp of power and a peak torque of 350 Nm.
For a quick recap, the Elantra is designed to make sufficient place for hybrid engines. The base model from this segment comes with a 2.0-litre MPI Atkinson Cycle unit that makes a maximum power of 147 hp and peak torque sticks at 179 Nm. It is equipped with IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission).
On the other hand, Hyundai Elantra Hybrid is equipped with a 1.6-litre four-cylinder GDI Atkinson Cycle SI engine, which is further paired with a permanent magnet electric motor that results in a maximum power of 43 hp. The electric motor features a 1.32 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery.
The hybrid system is able to provide a maximum power of 139 hp along with a peak torque of 264 Nm. The power sent to the front wheels via the carmaker’s own 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
