Talking of the change in the design language of the car, the Type R adapts to a new roof-mounted light strobe. Besides the strobe, there are no significant changes around the exterior of the car. The premium looks of this eye-catching Sunlight Yellow car are majorly similar to the previous season. The special livery is created by Belgian artist Vanuf, who explains that it is inspired by the “aggressive philosophy”.

Powering the aggressive safety beast is the same 2.0L VTEC turbo mill, producing a total of 318 hp of power, besides generating 400 Nm of torque.

Lastly, the car carries over the same industry-leading active safety and driver-assistive technologies used in the Civic range.
