Hyundai launches its three-row SUV, the Palisade in Indonesia
Hyundai has launched the Palisade three-row SUV in Indonesia with a right-hand drive (RHD) configuration. According to sources, the RHD variant will be manufactured at Hyundai’s Ulsan plant. Also, Palisade sales have been scheduled to start at the beginning of the year 2021.
Talking about the history of this vehicle, it was first introduced in November 2018 with a left-hand drive configuration in South Korea, the Philippines, and North America. However, the upcoming right-hand drive model will be sold not only in the Indonesian division but also in Australia and New Zealand.
According to sources, Hyundai Mobil Indonesia has started to take pre-booking orders, ahead of the deliveries. The large SUV will be offered in three variants. The base variant Prime will be priced at RM222,821 (73151 Singapore Dollar), the mid variant Signature will be at RM254,653 (83601 Singapore Dollar), and the top of the line Signature 4WD will hold a price tag of RM309,139 (101489 Singapore Dollar).
Reports state that all three variants will come equipped with a 2.2-liter four-cylinder CRDi CRDi turbodiesel engine capable of churning out 200 PS (197 hp) of maximum power and 441 Nm of peak torque. The mill comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to the front wheels in the base and mid variant, whereas the top variant flaunts the AWD system.
The Palisade rides 18- (Prime) and 20-inch (Signature and above) alloy wheels, LED lighting, a drive-mode system with four modes, a powered tailgate, and Multi-Terrain Control.
The cabin comes with Nappa leather, seven USB ports, dual sunroofs, triple-zone climate control, ventilates seats, wireless charging, and more. It will be offered in seven distinct paint schemes - White Cream, Timeless Black, Moonlight Cloud, and Steel Graphite.
Talking about the safety features, it gets a blind spot monitor, six airbags, Safe Exit Assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear occupant alert.
