Hyundai two-seater Casper LCV, a prominent offering for the South Korean market
Hyundai Casper, a very popular compact SUV, has been making rounds on the internet ever since its arrival in the South Korean market last year, thanks to the subtle design features and functionality-rich cabin space. The SUV has now been renewed as a two-seat LCV (light commercial vehicle) variant in South Korea. The price starts at 13.75 million won (approx SGD 15,432).
The small and subtle design feature of the car is what has made it the center of attention for urban city commuters. Targeted towards professionals who like to live the busy city life, this compactly designed van highlights styling components similar to the Yaris ECOVan.
It comes with a massive 940 liters of boot space accompanied by metallic bars and a partition.
Talking of the specifications that made this LCV a distinctive choice for the buyers, the Casper Van is powered by a Smartstream G 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated three-cylinder MPi engine that puts out a 76 PS and 95 Nm of torque. The other mill on offer is a Kappa II 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder GDi mill with 100 PS and 172 Nm – each with a 4-speed automated transmission powering the front wheels.
However, currently, Hyundai has released information around just one trim, and it’s the Smart, it incorporates a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster, LED daytime working lights, rear parking sensors, a fundamental head unit with USB, Bluetooth, and two audio systems besides 15-inch metal wheels.
Besides these, the smart variant even gets a few ADAS, including lane maintenance help and passive cruise management.
Considering the price, the car is certainly one of the most prominent offerings to have been introduced this year.
