Is Lexus F finally happening?
A darkened teaser with much of the car hidden, but Lexus’ bold F badge in the background, by Lexus has left the automobile arena buzzing. The Lexus LC was supposed to get a high-performance F variant, but the project was shelved in 2020. Two years later, the teaser can be suggestive about the LC F gearing toward production.
Reports also suggest that the machine could come equipped with a newly developed 4.0-litre V8 that would be capable of delivering as much as 660hp of maximum power and 650Nm of peak torque. Full details, however, are thin as of now.
There have always been speculations about the automaker taking the F brand forward, but nothing is substantial for now. Lexus is supposed to have a 2023 mid-cycle update and reports suggest that this is when the new brand might be launched.
The caption also read “Highest expression of performance,” hinting that the luxury car brand might be eyeing a new power-packed machine. A lot is left to be seen.
The teaser was posted on Lexus Racing, which might suggest Lexus’s plan of launching it for the track. No other information about the model has been released as of yet, but by the looks of it, it seems worth the wait.
