Lexus aims to roll out three new EVs by 2025

With its plan to introduce around 20 new or redesigned vehicles globally, to re-align the models with its global architecture by 2025, the Toyota co-owned brand Lexus is all set to unveil new all-electric or electrified hybrid models. As per the Automotive News report, the automaker will introduce three electric vehicles through 2025. 

The automaker recently introduced us to a new concept car called the LF-Z Electrified, which symbolizes the direction of its future vehicles. It is one of the three upcoming electric vehicles.

Talking about the recently introduced concept model, the all-electric vehicle presents us with multiple signatures of the company’s design elements. We can see a spindle front grille, paired with check-mark headlights that boast new, more modern interpretations throughout the body. 

Overall, it presents a complete body redesign, based on the GA-F platform for its ladder-frame construction vehicles. The interior features of the concept resemble a somewhat minimalist design with multiple driver-centric cockpit screens for improved functionality. 

Talking about the specifications of the crossover, the car showcased was highlighted with a 90 kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery, powered by two drive motors, churning out a total power of 536 hp, besides giving out a peak torque unit of up to 700 Nm. 

Looking at the setup, we can estimate that the car will be able to yield a range of around 600 km when tested as per the norms of the WLTP testing cycle. Talking about the recharging ability, the car is able to charge at a fast-charging capability of 150 kW. 

Lastly, besides the concept car which was introduced, the upcoming GX is set to debut in 2024, powered by a similar hybrid powertrain. The upgrades in the car are said to improve both performance and fuel economy for enthusiasts.
