Lexus teases the new electric concept car ahead of reveal
Lexus increases the hype of its upcoming electric offering by teasing its arrival one more time before its final reveal on Tuesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. EDT. Marking the automaker’s push deeper into electrification, the arrival of the concept car was first announced in December.
The upcoming offering is said to set a benchmark of quality and design for the electrical offerings that will come off the Japanese premium brand. While there had been previous events of Lexus teasing their upcoming car, this time, the automaker offered us a glimpse of its side profile, giving out the general proportions and aerodynamic of its offering.
Talking of the teaser image, the post leaves us mostly with imagination as a major portion of the car is covered. However, the teaser image does leave us with an illuminated background that reveals the tall, SUV-like stance in the upcoming vehicle.
Talking of its design feature, the car gets a rather upright nose, giving it a look of stance where it appears that the spindle grille has been eliminated. Besides that, the car seems to be sharing a similar stance as the others in production. Considering the chances of a refreshed front, the car seems to be accompanied by jagged edges that make the offering re-defined.
Coming to its illumination setup, the automaker highlighted its LED lighting skills with the teaser image in this concept. The car might be dawning exotic pairs of headlights and a front badge. The other styling dynamics on the front include a gently sloping windshield and a long hood.
While there has been no information on the engine setup and the interiors, the unnamed concept might debut the new Direct4 Wheel Drive Force Control. The updated Force Control in the system will be providing the vehicle with the abilities of an all-wheel drive.
Lastly, considering the expected configuration setups and the collected views from the teaser images, we can say that the Lexus electric concept is going to introduce change in the EV market.
