Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift is now available in Thailand
Mercedes’s Thailand has recently launched the facelift version of the Mercedes Benz E Class (W213), after a year of its global debut. The refreshed sedan that was previously introduced in March, adds to its revamped styling and updated equipment. The facelift has been developed to come at par with the G30 BMW 5 Series LCI offering.
Coming to the most apparent changes on the exteriors of the car, the W213 E-Class features a more aggressive styling over its past. The new elements include a new six-pointed grille that makes the appeal of the car sleek in its appearance. The other styling elements on the front end of the car include smaller and more angular headlamps that mate perfectly with the sleek-looking, two-piece tail lights.
Interestingly, buyers can opt for a differently styled car with the help of different exterior packages available in the option. The exterior packages add a more subtle look with more streamlined bumpers.
Further, the other highlight options in the car include a more agile, slightly reshaped grille that dawns a more aggressive & sportier bumper. Both the available package options include trapezoidal-shaped exhausts, to add to the aggressive looks of the car.
Talking about the available mill options, the E-Class range is accompanied by one diesel and two plug-in hybrids mated to a petrol engine. The diesel variant of the car is powered by an OM654 2.0L turbodiesel engine that is able to churn out a maximum power output of 192 hp, besides giving out 400 Nm of peak torque.
As for the plug-in hybrid, both variants are paired to a similar 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine, giving out power outputs of 209 hp and 350 Nm of peak torque from the engine. The engine is further supplemented by an electric motor for a combined system output of 318 hp and 700 Nm.
Lastly, the interior of the car seems to carry a similar look to the previous generation. However, the addition to the facelift includes an updated Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system that is now standard.
