Porsche introduces its easy charging network across Singapore

Porsche Asia Pacific and SP Group have affirmed their association to further grow the Porsche Destination Charging web in Singapore. The latest collaboration with an intention to emerge new lifestyle goals promoting wider access to effortless charging for plug-in hybrid EV and battery electric vehicles with Porsche consumers acquired some remarkable concessions. 

The Porsche Destination Charging network is a critical component of the brand’s three-pronged strategy for producing a complete charging ecosystem in Singapore. At home, Porsche offers tailored solutions for remote charging. But in Singapore, SP works as the country’s biggest public fast-charging EV network. 

Porsche Destination Charging

Not too long ago, the German Automaker even announced its High Performance Charging network with the North-South highway in Malaysia that caters to super-fast, en-route charging requirements for a long-distance journey. Eventually, the developed Porsche Destination Charging network will additionally boost public charging with DC and AC charging points at repeatedly visited lifestyle places.

The timeline suits the existing cross-border agenda. This collaboration with Shell will witness six of its stations be outfitted with two CCS Type 2 connectors for 180 kW DC chargers. The arrangement will facilitate a single EV to be charged at the full 180 kW rate or two autos at 90 kW individually.

Porsche Destination Charging

The three new Destination Charging spots set at South Beach, Sembawang Country Club, and Gardens by the Bay are planned to be open by January next year, counting the new additions to 15. Porsche and SP have also networked with City Developments Limited (CDL) to augment EV charging infrastructure at four possessions, including the Quayside Isle and the City Square Mall, and intend to add another 15 charging points.

All forthcoming Porsche Destination Charging junctures will be locatable on a central app, allowing EV drivers to easily discover the closest available charging juncture, begin and track the charging cycle, and complete the payment process. The Porsche Destination Charging grid is available to all electrified vehicle drivers, with added benefits facilitated to owners of Porsche cars.

SP currently manages over 450 charging points distributed in more than 100 sites, including industrial sites, commercial buildings, shopping malls, business parks, and residentials islandwide. Around one-third of SP’s national charging network are high-speed DC chargers.
