Toyota reveales GR Supra Jamara Racetrack Limited Edition

KUALA LUMPUR: The Japanese automaker, Toyota, has launched the special edition GR Supra. Dubbed as theJamara Racetrack, this special model is bound for Europe. This new version is meant to celebrate the rebirth of the Spanish sports car and is limited to 90 units only. Out of the 90 units, 30 are meant to be sold in the United Kingdom.

The Horizon Blue colour looks stunning. This looks even better with the addition of 19-inch forged alloy wheels in matte black and red brake calipers.

The cabin is done in black Alcantara leather upholstery, contrasted with blue stitchings. The dashboard is done in carbon fibre to impart premiumness. The infotainment system gets an 8.8-inch touchscreen display and Supra Connect, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Mechanically, this limited special edition model is powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 340 PS and 500 Nm of torque. The transmission is handled by an 8-speed automatic gearbox that sends the power to the rear wheels.

The acceleration to a 100 kmph from a standstill can be achieved in 4.3 seconds. The top speed rated for this car is 250 kmph.

Coming to the safety inclusions, the limited edition model gets the Supra Safety+ Package has lane departure warning with steering assist, adaptive front-light system, pre-collision system, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, road sign assist, and others.

Toyota has named this sports gear from the Jamaican circuit situated in Northern Spain, where GR Supra’s pre-production launch was organized way back in 2018. The pricing of this model is yet to be confirmed by the Japanese automaker brand.
