Not recommended for off-road
The Captiva is a midsized SUV which is a pretty average car in its class. But it looks muscular like a full-sized SUV. While legroom for the second row passengers is decent, taller occupants may find it a bit crammed. The Captiva is probably the least-priced 7-seater SUV around. You can feel budget in the cabin plastics, but it feels like an on-road vehicle to take rather than an off-road adventure car. Unfortunately there’s no 2nd or 3rd row air-conditioning and the car takes a pretty long time to cool. It’s also a fuel guzzler. Go around the market and you’ll find much better options.
