The new Doblo Cargo offers more functionality and comfort inside the cabin. The cabin is very spacious and practical; everything is within reach of your hands, and there are generous storage compartments, a large glove compartment, and an under-ceiling compartment too. The steering wheel comes mounted with integrated radio controls to avoid distractions while driving. Suspension setup comprises MacPherson Strut with wishbones secured to an auxiliary cross-member at the front and coil springs, telescopic shock absorbers with dual calibration at the rear. 

There are two engine choices available. The 1248 cc, 1.3 litres 90 Multijet turbo diesel engine produces 90 hp of max power at 4000 rpm and 200 Nm of peak torque at 1500 rpm, while the 1598 cc, 1.6 litres 105 Multijet turbo diesel engine churns out max power of 105 hp at 4000 rpm and peak torque of 300 Nm at 1500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. These engines are designed to ensure the lowest running costs in their category. They return a mileage around 18 kmpl.

The Fiat Doblo Cargo is brought to a halt using self-ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The braking system with Electronic Brakeforce Distributor (EBD), along with 4-sensor Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), avoids the wheels from locking and guarantees full control of the vehicle under any condition. Other notable safety features include front airbag for the driver, Whiplash device, side-impact bars, progressive collapse bar, anti-theft device, engine immobilizer, Fire Prevention System (FPS), body with crumple zones, steering system with the collapsible telescopic steering column, and knee protection.
