Mercedes-Benz GLE Class Interior & Features
The Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class has been completely revamped from the inside, with the SUV getting an all new cabin. The new layout theme for the dashboard as well as central console make it look much plusher and luxurious than ever before.
The round theme multi-functional steering wheel with silver spokes look very nice. However, what catches a major attention here is the large and wide horizontally laid touchscreen interface, which houses both fully digital instrument console as well as infotainment system adjacent to each other.
This large screen is flanked with trapezoidal AC vents on either side, making the dashboard look even wider. Below the screen, at the center of the cabin, there are four rectangular AC vents, which look cool with their chrome surrounds and minimalist looking panel for the climate control buttons.
GLE Class Exterior
The Mercedes Benz GLE Class has evolved into a much more desirable SUV than ever before, with the overall design taking a sleeker avatar, filled with more character. The SUV has got numerous changes which has kept the original silhouette intact as well as make it look much fresher.
At the front, the Mercedes Benz GLE Class has now got a much larger grille which now looks slightly rounded with tapered edges on its bottom ends. The grille, which features a honeycomb pattern for its mesh, also gets twin sleek looking chrome slats with the large Mercedes Benz logo sitting in the middle. The headlamps look very similar to that of the smaller GLC Class SUV, save for the fact that here they do come with revised daytime running LEDs in a dual inverted-L shaped pattern.
Moving towards the sides, the Mercedes Benz GLE Class has retained its traditional silhouette, with the unique tapering down design for the C-pillar as well as large and angular rear quarter glass. The wheel arches here are now slightly squared, whereas the side body panels look more rounded than ever before. To add in the SUV-ish robustness, Mercedes Benz has added thin body cladding and roof rails on the GLE Class.
At the back, the Mercedes Benz GLE Class looks very sleek as compared to its previous iterations, thanks to its horizontally stretched triangular LED tail lamps. The boot now has a much cleaner design with a larger rear windscreen at the back. The skid plate as well as cladding on the rear bumper too has grown in size, thus making it look more rugged too.

Armed with all the best possible mechanical hardware under the skin, with all-wheel drive as standard, the Mercedes-Benz GLE feels at home in all kinds of terrains, whether it is the urban jungle or hard to conquer terrains. The body roll is well controlled by the fully adjustable suspension system equipped with stabilizers on board.

The only engine and gearbox combination with which the Mercedes Benz GLE Class is available in Singapore is a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The engine, which channels power to all four wheels via a four-wheel-drive system, produces a maximum power output of 332 PS and a maximum torque output of 480 Nm.
